He is deeply loyal and devoted to his pack and anyone he loves. Aiden has grown up in a tight-knit group of wolves in the Bayou. He would do anything he possibly could to protect them. He crosses faction lines whenever he thinks he can create a better life for people that he loves and doesn't seem to hold the same prejudices that most werewolves would hold toward vampires/witches and vice versa. He's willing to reach across the aisle if there is something to be gained from it. He puts himself in danger crossing the witches to save not only one of his best friends but the children of his pack. It takes the loyalty and caring he has for his pack as well as the courage to make a particularly dangerous decision. If the plan to save Oliver and the kids, including his brother, from having to trigger the werewolf curse had gone wrong, Aiden surely would have been found out as the traitor and killed. Due in no small part to his caring and loyal nature, they did manage to get the children away from the witches before they could be used to kill the humans that disagreed with the witch's leadership. Despite assisting in the plan to help the kids, one of which was his younger brother Nick, Aiden hadn't completely turned his back on the witches yet. Oliver had been captured for his part in the ruse and Aiden with other werewolves were guarding him on behalf of the witches. When Hayley came to save Oliver, Aiden and the other werewolves initially tried to stop them. However, Oliver was able to appeal to Aiden's loyalty to pack and his pride by pointing out they were allowing the witches to control them and fighting a Hybrid just because they told them to. It was a moment of clarity for Aiden, reminding him to think of what is best for his pack and this certainly isn't it. They weren't free. He ordered the other werewolves to let Hayley and Oliver go. Aiden doesn't immediately break from the witches. However, he begins to plot with the vampires and Hayley to overthrow them. This is the first real showing of his duplicitous nature. He leads Finn into a trap, however, Finn has already figured it out. Shortly after this, Aiden admits that the werewolves are not handling the attack on Finn well and it won't be long before his role in it is discovered. Aiden's downfall is that he can be prideful and duplicitous. While these traits tend to coincide with his desire to do what is best for his loved ones, his pride makes him an easy target to be manipulated. He falls prey to Klaus telling him that he would make a better alpha and that Jackson isn't doing what's best for the pack. His pride pushes him to want to become alpha himself instead. Aiden's doubt of Jackson's leadership isn't something that any put on him. He already had begun to doubt his leadership and the choices that Jackson was making. He was concerned that the good of the pack wasn't completely in the forefront of Jackson's mind. Being reminded by Klaus that Aiden had been the leader of the pack while Jackson had been off on his own and that Jackson's decision had nearly gotten Aiden killed is really only fuel when he's told by Klaus that Klaus can help him become alpha in exchange for loyalty and protecting Klaus' daughter at any cost. Soon after this, Jackson and Aiden fight and Aiden loses his temper with Jackson. Aiden challenges Jackson's leadership and his choices. He tells Jackson that the pack needs someone they can depend on. For Aiden, it hadn't felt like they could actually depend on Jackson even now that he's back. In the end, he doesn't go through with it. He's too loyal to Jackson and ends up telling him the truth but his pride had him making a serious attempt at it taking the leadership role. However, the things that do stop him are Josh telling him he knows, knows that Aiden lied to tell him it was Jackson calling him instead of Klaus and telling him that Aiden is his pack. This pulls at the devoted side of Aiden and is a large part of why he ends up telling Jackson the truth, along with the fact that it's just not in his blood to betray his pack even when he disagrees. Aiden's duplicitous behavior is also sometimes more personal in a way. He receives a phone call from Klaus but he lies to his boyfriend and says that it's Jackson. He doesn't want Josh to know what he's trying to do in undermining Jackson and attempting to take his place by working with Klaus. In this same way, Aiden can be somewhat gullible. There's no reason that he should have believed that Klaus had the right intentions or that he was actually going to care about what was best for the wolves. Aiden wanted to believe what Klaus told him and that what Klaus offered him was legitimate. This is a common thing for Aiden. He sometimes suspends his disbelief when he's being told things that he wants to hear. He decides to go along with Klaus because Klaus appealed to the right desires that Aiden has. This trait isn't always obvious with Aiden but it is one that's easy to exploit when a person knows enough about him to manipulate him. Powers and Abilities: -Super strength, speed, agility, durability, senses -Healing factor: evolved werewolves can heal from grievous wounds quickly in wolf or human form but not as fast as vampires. They also cannot heal from fatal wounds/injuries like broken necks, etc. -Transformation control: Can control when he transforms, can do partial transformations, can also stay transformed longer than normal werewolves -Werewolf venom: bite is deadly to vampires. -Full Moon: His powers are strongest during full moon -Silver Immunity: as an evolved werewolf is immune to magic bonded to silver, it might wound him but he will still heal at the rate he does with any other injury.
